And They're Off

Between all the tatting events happening this month I found some time to tat up a few squares for the Let's tat a Brussels' monument. I did not develop my own square but did adapt the pattern  somewhat to make it easier for me to tat.

Working with a shuttle and ball of thread I started with a ring adding a magic loop on the last 5 stitches. I used reverse stitches for the centre arches. I waited until the last centre arch to join them and used a swirl join.

Finally adding another magic loop to the last five stitches before attaching to the base of the first ring.   Snip snip and done.

These were made with Opera 20 (586). I'll post tomorrow and hope they arrive safely along with my wishes for women.

  1. Well done. Yes, I didn’t think it was a very easy pattern to tat, good for you for adapting it.

    1. Yes, the pattern was not for beginners but I'm learning to adjust.

    1. I just tatted up one shuttleful. I'm not political but added a note of wishes that could be for anyone.
