Hearts Doily Row 7

I am on the last row of this doily, the banner row complete now to attach to the main doily. Wish me luck.

I am thinking of replacing that blue center with the yellow and I think it can be done. Any suggestions?

  1. I am very curious how you will be doing this, I would think you attach while you go, but I will stay tuned for I not sure of or haven't seen this pattern :)

  2. It is just an outline of the heart and joined to the rings below. I was hoping someone else would do this so I could ask but here goes. I have also added a link to the creators page.

  5. It looks lovely !
First off, I would not join this banner to itself. An open edging would be easier to join, rather than a complete closed round. Just take care not to twist any chain or picot & you should be fine :-)

Not to dissuade you, but as a future idea that might be applicable in some project :
I think I would've completed these 2 rounds that make up complete hearts First. Then I would've joined with the simple rings, chains & thrown rings row. This would be easier to tat, since it is all a simple circle, rather than an in & out kind of movement for the heart edge. And a 2nd advantage would be that I could've used blue for that round, thus complementing the inner blue.
    Just my thoughts .

I like the blue centre. But let's see what more experienced tatters have to suggest :-)

  6. Looking lovely, but not sure how you are going to take out the middle and re tat it, if it was me I would start again and do another one.
