I FOUND IT

While on the hunt for some beads to work into a sample piece I was working on, tucked back in the drawer was my little hanky that I had done so many many years ago. The little rings tied so nicely.  It is a ring only pattern from my Learn How Book, which I still have.

  1. Firstly, Congratulations on starting your blog !!! Will add you to my reading list :-)
The edging is very cute - I like the simplicity, as well as the color. I think you've used split rings, right ?

  2. No split rings, just clovers and bare thread to the next clover. You can see in the photo where I had some bare thread on the front. It is the very first tatting pattern in the "lean how book". I still have a shuttle of that size 30 thread and its still bright. I don't recall the exact date I did this but it would have been early teens.
