Short bugles

My apologies to  Corina Meyfeldt  as I am sure this was not what she had in mind for this snowflake pattern. 

I went wrong using short bugle beads and the Lizbeth Metallic thread which tats up slightly larger than 20.  I have also found that this flake did not lie flat but the overall effect is a quite pleasing 3D effect.

I used a Lizbeth Metallic 20 Color 321. I am still not sure if I like this thread, I do like the color and it is a bit more sparkly than it appears in the photo.

More flakes to come.

    The shorter beads do give a different look, still pleasing though.
