The pattern instructions were to tie and cut (T & C) between a few rounds but I was able to use split rings and chains to do in one pass. As suggested I used a small condiment bowl from IKEA as my mold. Diluted school glue was used to stiffen. You need to dap off any excess between coats so there is no obvious residue on the tatting. I like the idea of having a small bowl by the sink for your rings when you give your hands a good scrub.
